Scratchpad Screen where temporary values can be applied to fixtures that override values everywhere else in the app. Displays the final output of all fixture in a project. Scratchpad
Fixture Tile The visual representation of a fixture on the Scratchpad or in Looks. Displays intensity, CCT, saturation, and a color preview for quick reference. Scratchpad
Popover Controls Controls that can be quickly accessed from a fixture tile that manipulate a single fixture. Scratchpad
Manual A badge on the Scratchpad that indicates the value set will override values from the LookBook. Scratchpad
Action Bar Set of action buttons on the bottom of the Scratchpad. Scratchpad
Control Panel A panel of controls used to change values of a single fixture, or of multiple fixtures at once. The primary way to set values with Slyyd. Control Panel
Focused Fixture The fixture whose values are displayed in the Control Panel. Always the fixture that was selected most recently. Has a slightly brighter yellow highlight. Control Panel
Color Pointer The dot on the CIE xy diagram or the Color Wheel that points to the current color. Control Panel
Color Picker The Control Panel tab that’s used for selecting colors. Has three modes: CIE xy, Wheel, and Swatches. Control Panel
Swatch A color saved by the user for use on any color capable fixture. Saves the x, y and CCT value of the currently selected fixture when creating a swatch. Control Panel
Gels A Swatch that is based on a real-world Rosco gel placed over either a 3200K source or a 6500K source. Control Panel
Source Match A Swatch whose color is based on a real-world fixture or bulb. Control Panel
More tab Where controls related to light appearance can be found that are not color or intensity, i.e. pan, stilt, strobe. Control Panel
Look A saved collection of intensity and color values for a selection of fixtures. LookBook
LookBook Screen where Looks can be created, edited, and mixed. LookBook
Opacity A setting on a Look that proportionally adjusts how much of a Look is visible. Opacity can be used to mix colors and intensities. LookBook
Opacity Target A yellow marker on the Opacity slider that designates the high point of the Look when the Look is toggled on. LookBook
Project A container that houses Connections, Looks, fixtures, and Swatches. Roughly similar to the term ‘showfile’ on some other consoles. Project Settings & App Settings
DMX Map Where fixtures are added to a project and patched into Connections. Patching & the DMX Map
Fixture ID A numerical identifier for a fixture. No two fixtures can have the same Fixture ID. This is roughly equivalent to the term ‘channel’ on some other consoles. Patching & the DMX Map
Connection The output method for control information. Current options are sACN or LumenRadio BLE. Each Connection is 1 universe of DMX data. Patching & the DMX Map
Unpatched Fixtures A panel on the DMX Map where newly added fixtures show up before they are patched into the project, and where existing fixtures are stored when they are not in use. Placing a fixture in the Unpatched Fixtures panel preserves all Look data for the fixture but removes it from Slyyd’s DMX output. Patching & the DMX Map
