The Cerise from FTSLED is a compact, self-powered CRMX transmitter that plugs into an iPad or iPhone using USB-C.
Whilst there are multiple Cerise models available. The setup remains identical for all of them.
Slyyd requires fixtures to be patched into an sACN Connection in order to use the Cerise.
For help settings up an sACN Connection in Slyyd, see the Connections article.
Some models in the Cerise range have the ability to output multiple universes.
A Cerise by default is looking for sACN universe 1 on output A.
Please remember that sACN universes start at 1, whereas ArtNet starts at Universe 0. For example if you wanted to use sACN universe 7, you would need to put 6 into this box. The sACN number will automatically update with it’s correct value.
It may be necessary to disable Wi-Fi on the device running Slyyd in order for Slyyd to connect to the Cerise. The red ‘DMX’ LED will light turn solid when the Cerise is receiving DMX data from Slyyd. If the red LED is not flashing, disabling Wi-Fi can help force the Apple device to use the correct network connection.
It is usually necessary to disable any VPN services in order to propperly send sACN over a Wi-Fi or Ethernet. In some cases, rebooting the device after disabling the VPN is necessary. Make sure VPNs are disconnected when expereincing trouble sending data to fixtures.
The last step is to link the desired fixtures to the Cerise.
